The #1 Porsche of reigning world champions Timo Bernhard, Brendon Hartley and Mark Webber claimed their first victory of the season at the 6 hours of Nürburgring in front of a weekend crowd of 58,000. In a race which witnessed some immense battles, particular that of the sister car driven by Roman Dumas, Neel Jani and Marc Lieb going into the last hour against the #7 Audi of André Lotterer and Marcel Fässler (sadly for him Benoit Treluyer had to sit out this race whilst re

Qualifying dampener for Toyota Gazoo Racing
TOYOTA GAZOO Racing will start the 6 Hours of Nürburgring from the third row after a disappointing qualifying session in wet conditions for the fourth round of the 2016 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC). Intermittent rain throughout the day created changing track conditions and a challenge for the teams, both in terms of tyre choice and track conditions. The #6 TS050 HYBRID of Stéphane Sarrazin, Mike Conway and Kamui Kobayashi was the lead TOYOTA in fifth place, one ah

Le Mans 2016, heartbreak for Toyota
If I had written this on Sunday it would literally have consisted of 2 words: Toyota: heartbreaking! No doubt like many a race fan, whether a Toyota supporter or not, you will have been astounded, gobsmacked, distraught, amazed, shocked and saddened (I could go on) by how the Japanese outfits race came to an end. ‘Silverstone Slip-up' for Toyota
'Hugely frustrating' and 'we will urgently seek to address the issues' were phrases used in Toyota Gazoo Racing's post qualifying press release. With gaps of 4.996 for the #6 and 6.905 for #5 off the pole time, the two TS050 hybrids proved to be uncompetitive. Unsuitable control settings for the conditions gave the drivers no chance in today's wet 20 minute qualifying session. ‘It has been a challenging day weather-wise and that has put us a bit out of synch with the set

WEC Prologue 2016: Advantage Porsche; Ferrari and Ford battle recommences in LMGTE Pro
After 17 hours of running and thousands of kilometres track testing, the 29 cars entered for the Prologue at Circuit Paul Ricard have now parked their cars in the pit boxes and the engineers have started to analyse and study the data this evening. It is difficult to make any true conclusions, however, as the poker faces and mind games of the teams often mask the true hierarchy of pace and positions throughout the classes. What we can say is that 2016 looks set to be a ste
