FIA World Endurance Championship
The FIA World Endurance Championship, now in its tenth season, is the world’s premier international sportscar championship. The WEC offers manufacturers a real-world relevance to advances in road car design and crossover technology, performance and safety.
Contested over six rounds across North America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East – there are races of varying distances, from the shortest at 6 hours to the longest at 24 hours. Ranked alongside the Olympics, the Super Bowl and the soccer World Cup, the cornerstone of the WEC remains one of the world’s greatest sporting events, the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Le Mans 24
The 24-Hours of Le Mans follow a simple rule: the car that covers the greatest distance in 24 hours is the winner. It is the ultimate endurance test for man and machine. Each year, more than 250,000 enthusiastic spectators flock to 24 Hours of Le Mans. It is the ultimate endurance test for man and machine.
To be a winner here, you need more than just a powerful car and superior driver. According to racing legend Yannick Dalmas, “To get to the top, drivers, mechanics and crew have to start working together closely months before the race. Racing situations have to be simulated in the factory and the entire team needs to develop a really good feeling.” In 1999, Dalmas drove the legendary BMW V12 LMR with 635 hp of the winning team. “Right from the start, you need to have the same objective: victory!”
IMSA WeatherTech Sporstcar
Championship
The IMSA SportsCar Championship, currently known as the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship under sponsorship, is a sports car racing series based in the United States and Canada and organized by the International Motor Sports Association (IMSA).
It is a result of a merger between two existing North American sports car racing series, the American Le Mans Series and Rolex Sports Car Series. At its inception, the name was United SportsCar Championship, which subsequently changed to IMSA SportsCar Championship in 2016. Rolex SA's Tudor brand was the championship's title sponsor in 2014 and 2015, and since 2016 WeatherTech has served as title sponsor.
The season begins with its premier race, the Rolex 24 at Daytona, the last weekend of January and ends with the Petit Le Mans, another North American Endurance Cup race, in early October.
GT World Challenge
Reserved for cars conforming to GT3 regulations and using SRO Motorsports Group’s globally recognised Balance of Performance (BOP) criteria, Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS can trace its roots back to the creation of the Blancpain Endurance Series in 2011.
Staged over five rounds and with the iconic TotalEnergies 24 Hours of Spa as its marquee event, the long-distance championship placed equal emphasis on professional and amateur competitors while promoting high standards both on and off the circuit. It quickly attracted strong grids and was followed in 2014 by the addition of a Sprint Series for short-format races, as well as an overall title to recognise the most consistent performers across both disciplines.
