FIA WEC: AF Corse to run in LMP2 in 2019/20
The AF Corse factory Ferrari team will return to the LMP2 class in next season's World Endurance Championship. According to a recent report in Autosport the Italian team will run a Dallara-Gibson P217 in the LMP2 class of the FIA World Endurance Championship for the 2019/20 season. TOYOTA GAZOO Racing has achieved the WEC World Championship for the second time, following the title in 2014. I would like to really thank the fans for all their support. The team has faced challening conditions on demanding circuits, for example the race at Fuji, the heavy rain of Shanghai, the famous bumps of Sebring and the snowy weather at Spa, an undulating and difficult circuit. FIA WEC: Third place podium finish for SMP Racing at 6 Hours of Spa
On May 4, the seventh round of the World Endurance Championship took place at the Belgian Spa-Francorchamps circuit. The SMP Racing crew of Vitaly Petrov, Mikhail Aleshin and Stoffel Vandoorne finished on the podium with third place at Spa. The competition was under difficult weather conditions: it was raining and snowing on the track with the sun in between that made the track dry out quite fast. FIA WEC: Toyota take Pole at Spa
TOYOTA GAZOO Racing will start the penultimate round of the 2018-2019 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) from pole position after another clean sweep of the front row in today’s qualifying for the Total 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps.
