Toyota has unveiled its updated Hypercar challenger, the TR010 HYBRID, for the 2026 FIA World Endurance Championship season, marking the start of a new era for the Japanese manufacturer’s long-running endurance program.
Images published this week show extensive bodywork revisions compared to the previous GR010 design, which had remained visually unchanged since 2021. The front end has been reshaped to reflect Toyota’s current road-car design language, while the sidepods, rear bodywork and the wing have also been substantially reworked. The team has additionally introduced a predominantly red colour scheme for 2026, inspired by historic Toyota prototypes and replacing the all-black livery used over the past two seasons. At Le Mans last year, the #7 livery also paid hommage to the historical GT-ONE.

The reveal is part of a wider restructuring of Toyota’s European research and development subsidiary in Cologne, which will operate under the reinstated Toyota Racing GmbH name from January 7, 2026 onward. After a decade competing in WEC as Toyota Gazoo Racing, the factory team will now enter the world championship simply as Toyota Racing, while the umbrella organisation for production-based competition continues as Gazoo Racing (GR).
Toyota Motor Corporation stated that the rebranded company “will strengthen the foundation that supports Toyota's technological development in the long term through cutting-edge motorsports technology.” The Cologne facility retains responsibility for GR’s parallel activities, including engine supply for rally projects and production of the GR Supra GT4 EVO2 for customer motorsport.
