The Dynamics squad has been a staple of Britain’s topflight motorsport for over thirty years.

They’re the team that put Honda on the map in the championship, developing some of the championships most dominant car and driver combinations the championship has ever seen.

Whilst the team may be withdrawing, the whispers will still be around the paddock with a single entry run through the newly formed One Motorsport who also run the Honda Civic made successful by the Dynamics squad.

Last year’s driver, Gordan Shedden is the odds on favourite to take that final Honda seat for the 2023 season after last year’s teammate Daniel Rowbottom made the switch to Napa Racing UK.

Honda fans will be pleased to know that the team has a plan to re-enter the championship in the near future with Honda again, but for now, the Honda flag is being handed over to One Motorsport.

Team Dynamics enters the BTCC in 1992 with Matt Neal

Team Dynamics owner, and three-time BTCC drivers title winner, had this to say on the team’s decision:

“This has been an extremely difficult decision for us to make as a business, unfortunately with the current economic climate, we have not been able to secure the commercial partnerships we required to commit to the forthcoming BTCC season.”

The BTCC’s season launch day is on the 12th of April at Brands Hatch, before the first round at the end of April at Donington Park.
