Prescott Motorsport has joined the Race Against Dementia

Updated: Apr 12, 2023

Prescott Motorsport is proud to announce that we will be supporting Race Against Dementia by donating a percentage of all clothing sales. We believe that this is a worthy cause, and we hope that our customers will join us in supporting this important work.

Race Against Dementia is a charity that is dedicated to finding a cure for dementia. Dementia is a devastating disease that affects millions of people around the world. It robs people of their memories, their ability to think clearly, and their independence. There is currently no cure for dementia, but Race Against Dementia is working tirelessly to change that.

Racing to find a breakthrough in the prevention or treatment of dementia
Today, more than 55 million people around the world are living with dementia. Unless a cure is found, one in three people born today will die with dementia. A new person develops dementia every three seconds and it is anticipated that by 2030 the global societal cost of caring for dementia patients will exceed US$2.8 trillion.
The charity is funding research into new treatments and cures for dementia. They are also working to raise awareness of the disease and to support people who are affected by it. Prescott Motorsport is proud to be able to support this important work.

We will be donating 5% of all clothing sales to Race Against Dementia. This means that every time you buy a piece of clothing from us, you will be helping to fund research into a cure for dementia. We hope that you will join us in supporting this important cause.

In addition to our regular clothing range, we will also be releasing a special edition FIA WEC Fans Forum range of clothing on the 1st of May. This range will feature exclusive designs that celebrate the Le Mans 2023. We hope that you will enjoy this special range of clothing and that you will support Race Against Dementia by purchasing a piece, each time you do 15% of the purchase price will be donated.

A note from Sir Jackie Stewart, OBE

“When my wife, Helen, was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia in 2015, I was horrified to learn there was no cure available. Currently more than 55 million people are affected by dementia worldwide. Sadly, unless something changes, 1 in 3 people born today will die with dementia.

Formula 1 attracts the brightest and most creative minds – just like medical research. At Race Against Dementia, we support early career scientists both here in the UK and across the world. Applying an F1 problem-solving mindset, we want them to accelerate research and make significant breakthroughs to cure or prevent dementia.

I am committed to putting all my efforts into finding a cure for this devastating illness. This crisis cannot continue. Please help me and everyone affected by this dreadful disease by joining our race against dementia.”
