Jake Hill ends Napa Racing UK’s dominance with race one win at Oulton Park
To emphatic celebrations from the BMW garage, Jake Hill crossed the line to win the first race of the weekend at Oulton Park.
Hill managed to pull a gap to Ash Sutton's focus off the line, making sure the BMW could strut off into the distance with relatively little to worry about.
One big factor for the drivers this weekend is going to be their brake wear, as multiple drivers found out the hard way.
Power Maxed Racing's, Aron Taylor-Smith, was the first to realise the pedal in the middle wasn't doing its job properly when he went wide at the hairpin, allowing the train of the three BMW's through at the halfway point of the race.
Unfortunately for the Irishman, His troubles wouldn't stop there. On the penultimate lap, his Astra was sent flying into the barrier at over 100mph by a brakeless Dan Rowbottom.
Rowbottom had also been struggling with high brake temperatures throughout the race, and the aggressive move at druids corner was just to much for his Focus' brakes to handle.
Thankfully, both drivers where okay but Rowbottom certainly hasn't made any friends at Power Maxed Racing.
