BTCC: Ingram joins EXCELR8 on a "multi year" deal

In 2021, Tom Ingram will be leading the EXCELR8 title charge in one of the team's Hyundai i30N Fastbacks in the British Touring Car Championship.
After spending seven years with Speedworks Motorsport, which gave him 16 wins, 41 podiums, 4 poles and 13 fastest laps, it was time for a change of scenery and he's looking to hit the ground running with his new team.
Speaking to BTCC.net, Tom Ingram said: “I’m immensely excited to announce my new deal with EXCELR8 Trade Price Cars,” declared Ingram. “When it became clear that commercially, we would not be able to continue with Speedworks, I spoke to a number of BTCC teams and to be honest, this was probably one of the easiest decisions I’ve ever had to make. We immediately ‘clicked’, right from the very first conversation."
In what is commonly known as one of the toughest tin top series in the world, EXCELR8 have settled into their British Touring Car life pretty well and since changing into different machinery in 2020, have shot up the championship standings to put themselves further into the fight at the front of the field. The team are hoping for even bigger success in 2021 and with Ingram behind the wheel of one of their cars, they have everything crossed for a great start at the season opener at Thruxton, the fastest circuit in the country, in May.
