BTCC: Chilton signs with Ciceley Motorsport for 2021.

Updated: Apr 17, 2021

Earlier today, the news broke that Tom Chilton would move from BTC Racing to Ciceley Motorsport for the 2021 KwikFit British Touring Car Championship Season.

Chilton, who is based in Surrey, brings a heap of experience to a team that has its sights firmly set on upsetting the bigger teams in the paddock and by teaming up with Adam Morgan, means the sky really is the limit for the outfit.

Chilton spoke about his move to BTCC.net by saying "I’m really looking forward to joining Ciceley Motorsport in their new era,” said Chilton. “They are a great team, and the BMW will be ultra-competitive. Adam [Morgan] and I get along really well and we will work as hard as required with team engineer Steve Farrell to ensure we’re at the front of the pack straight away. I’ve made no secret of my desire to change my lucky racing number 3 into the coveted number 1 and truly believe that the team and will provide me with the platform required to achieve my aim.”

The spirits will no doubt be high within the team as they look to hit the ground running with a pair of the new BMW 330i M Sports at their disposal.

Both Adam and Tom will begin a hectic testing schedule soon and will be firing on all cylinders come the Brands Hatch opener at the beginning of April.
