The former Aston Martin junior driver is making a surprise switch to the BTCC after a successful career in endurance racing.

PMR finished the 2022 BTCC season on the backfoot, a lacklustre car and two frustrated drivers led to the season really being a push to finish in the points every round, as opposed to aiming for podiums and wins.

Ash Hand and Michael Crees, who drove for the team in 2022, have both yet to put pen to paper in regard to their future with the team. Could we see a double driver change for PMR in 2023?

2022 was a tough season for the Vauxhall run outfit. 2023 is shaping up to be another year of building and creating a strong base for a much bigger breakthrough in the coming seasons. The question on everybody’s mind is, will they keep the Astra?

Nothing as of yet has been announced in regard to the platform of their 2023 challenger, however, Andrew Watson was confidant with his ability to perform next season in whatever machinery he is given.

“I cannot wait to get out of track. It is going to be a completely different challenge and skillset for me but I’m going into it with my eyes wide open and fully committed to the task ahead.” PMR Press Release
