Successor to the 911 RSR enters test phase
New Porsche for GTE/GTLM classes from 2017 Stuttgart. The most successful GT race car of the 2015 season will be replaced by a completely new race car in 2017. The successor to the 911 RSR has already com- pleted a successful rollout on the test track in Weissach. Now begins the test phase on selected racetracks around the world. Audi celebrates first WEC victory this season at Spa
Audi has won the unusually tough second round of the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) at Spa-Francorchamps. In temperatures above 25 degrees centigrade, in the end only two of the six hybrid sports cars from all manufacturers that had started finished at the front of the field in Belgium. Competition on the coast: preview Hankook 12H ZANDVOORT
On Friday and Saturday this week (May 6-7, 2016), the famous Circuit Park Zandvoort will serve as the venue for the Hankook 12H ZANDVOORT. Audi chooses not to appeal in FIA WEC
Audi has chosen not to lodge an appeal following the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) in the United Kingdom. After Marcel Fässler/André Lotterer/Benoît Tréluyer had won the Silverstone 6 Hours on April 17, their Audi R18 was excluded post-race from the classification due to a violation of the LMP1 class Technical Regulations. Audi to appeal exclusion from WEC 6h Silverstone results
In the very late evening it was announced that the stewards of the meeting received a report from the Technical Delegate explaining that the thickness of the front skid block of car no. 7 doesn’t comply with article 3.5.6 a3 of the LMP1 Technical Regulations. And so the no. 7 car was excluded from the results of the race, this meant that Porsche were the winners and Rebellion Racing were promoted to third over all. The Final 60 Minutes of the 6 Hours of Silverstone
With the sun still shining over the Northamptonshire circuit, the last 60 minutes proved the usual down to the wire ending that has became unanimous with the WEC championship. Heading into the final hour the No. 2 Porsche driven by Neal Jani had a 54 second lead over the second placed Audi of Marcel Fassler but the Porsche was still to pit. Jani pitted the Porsche on lap 161, and with only changing 2 tyres rather than 4 came out only 6 seconds behind the Fassler Audi.

In Their first qualifying session of the season, Aston Martin’s three beauties qualified P5 and P6 in GTE Pro and P6 in GTE Am.
