JDC-MILLER MOTORSPORTS CONFIRMS ORECA 07 LMP2 PROTOTYPE PROGRAM FOR 2017
Current Prototype Challenge entrant JDC-Miller MotorSports announced it will add a Prototype class program in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship in 2017 with an ORECA 07 LMP2 car, as part of its current IMSA programs. Team co-owner John Church confirmed today that the Minneapolis-based squad will be on the grid with a 2017-spec ORECA 07 Gibson-powered LMP2 car in 2017. Porsche 911 RSR testing at Sebring
The 2017 successor to the 911 RSR has been spotted testing in Sebring. The most successful GT race car of the 2015 season will be replaced by a completely new race car in 2017. Michael Shank Racing seen testing the Acura NSX at Sebring
Michael Shank Racing have been spotted testing the new Acura NSX at Sebring yesterday. Acura Motorsports announced on the 16th September that Michael Shank Racing will lead the company’s effort in the 2017 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, while RealTime Racing will continue to head the manufacturer’s attack in the SCCA Pirelli World Challenge. IMSA Petit Le Mans 2016 Roundup
After a good clean start to the 19th running of the Petit Le Mans from Road Atlanta GA the first 30 minutes saw Oliver Pla leading the field from pole in the #60 Michael Shank Racing. Robert Alon led the PC’s in the #52 PR1 racing, with GTLM being led by Richard Westbrook in the #67 Ford GT40 and Jerome Bleekamolen heading up the GTDs in the #33 Viper. Petit Le Mans, Qualifying report "the close one"
An action packed hour and a half of qualifying is over and what can only be described as close in GTLM - but more of that later. Overall pole goes to the #60 Micheal Shank Racing, Honda HDP Ligier with Oliver Pla behind the wheel in a time of 1:13.200 with Tristen Nunez in the #55 Mazda Prototype in 2nd and in 3rd Dane Cameron in the #31 Chevrolet Corvette DP, the top 3 covered by 0.842 of a second. With practice 4 at Petit Le Mans out of the way, interest now turns to qualifying later on today at 15:25 ET or 20:25 UK time. Leading in P4 was the Honda HPD of Michael Shank racing with John Pew, Oswaldo Negri Jr. and Olivier Pla, closely followed by the Mazda Prototype of Tristan Nunez,Spencer Pigot and Jonathan Bomarito. In GTLM it was the Ferrari 488 of Scuderia Corse driven by Andrea Bertolini, Daniel Serra and Alessandro Pier Guidi followed by another 488 this time


2017 IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship Schedule Revealed

Lizard Livery Returns to Pro Racing at Road America
