Hot off the back of a stunning result, Max Chilton moves onto Long Beach in the Verizon Indycar Seri

Max heads to the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach high on confidence after a sensational IndyCar oval debut in Phoenix where he picked up a universally acclaimed 7th place. Long Beach is one of the jewels in the Verizon IndyCar calendar and is a return to a street course providing a totally different challenge to the short and speedy Phoenix Oval.

Over 200,000 fans are expected to turn out under the Californian sun when the cars take to the track on Sunday at 13:45 local time for the 42nd running of the famous race. "Phoenix was amazing, I really want to keep that positive feeling going heading into Long Beach. I raced here last year with IndyLights so I'm coming into this weekend with some decent knowledge of the track which I'm hoping will give me a solid foundation to push on and target more Championship points".

Chilton is clearly relishing his IndyCar experience, he continued: "I'm in a good place right now. I've been made to feel so welcome by Chip and the team and having Dario [Franchitti] on hand is a huge help, having such an experienced guy on my side brings nothing but positives. I've been back in the UK for a few days between races which was great to clear the mind and I've come back feeling fresh and ready to get back in the car on Friday to get going with Practice". The 42nd running of the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach starts at 13:45 Pacific Time.
