Audi driver Benoît Tréluyer not at Nürburgring

Audi aims to repeat 24-hour victory at the Nürburgring

Audi chooses not to appeal in FIA WEC
Audi has chosen not to lodge an appeal following the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) in the United Kingdom. After Marcel Fässler/André Lotterer/Benoît Tréluyer had won the Silverstone 6 Hours on April 17, their Audi R18 was excluded post-race from the classification due to a violation of the LMP1 class Technical Regulations. Audi to appeal exclusion from WEC 6h Silverstone results
In the very late evening it was announced that the stewards of the meeting received a report from the Technical Delegate explaining that the thickness of the front skid block of car no. 7 doesn’t comply with article 3.5.6 a3 of the LMP1 Technical Regulations.
