90 Seconds with Matthew Palmer
Matt started racing at the age of eight years old. Like many professional racing drivers, he started his career in karting and progressed into club level car racing at the age of 19. After winning consecutive titles in the Toyota MR2 Championship, at the age of 23 he made the step up to national racing in the Ginetta GT5 Challenge.

I have always fancied being a chef
Do you have any pre-race superstitions?
superstitions no, routines yes!
What is your favourite racing circuit?
Although I have only been to Spa once, it is an incredible circuit and my favourite
Who do you admire the most?
Valentino Rossi as he still has so much drive after winning all of his championships and his ability to adapt to the changing regulations
Favourite food?
I eat healthily most of the time but every so often I indulge in a Fish Pie which is the ultimate comfort food
Which other series would you like to race in?
I would love to make it into the WEC
What road car do you drive?
I drive an Alfa Romeo Mito
Most memorable racing moment?
Winning my first championship in the 750motor club MR2 championship
