90 Seconds with Le Mans Winner, Richard Bradley
What would you be if not a racing driver?
I would be a train driver! Preferably in the UK and preferably for an operator who works on the London suburban lines, ideally South West Trains.
Do you have any pre-race superstitions?
I have no pre race superstitions as I feel it doesn't matter what situation it is my job is always the same.
What is your favourite racing circuit?
My favorite circuits are Suzuka and COTA, mainly due to the high speed esses section in sector one in both. When you get them right it feels particularly good!
Who do you admire the most?
I am a big admirer of Michael Schumacher quite simply because he is the most successful driver in the history of our sport and anyone would like to emulate him and his success.
Favourite food?
My favorite food is sushi, specifically salmon and tuna, but I also find it very hard to resist Eton Mess!
Which other series would you like to race in?
I am actually really happy where I am with WEC and IMSA! Perhaps the only championship I would like to add would be Super GT500. I am lucky enough to have done Super Formula and so have got a taste for mindblowingly fast cars and because of this combined with many other reasons I don't have a real interest in F1.
What road car do you drive?
As I am not in one place for very long and spend most of my time travelling when I go back to England I use my mums trusty Skoda Fabia which is fine apart from the fact is has no central locking!
Most memorable racing moment?
My most memorable racing moment was definitely winning Le Mans and getting pole for the race in 2015. Winning it is self explanatory but to get pole there with the first lap of the 6 hour session was very nice. All racing drivers have an ego and want to qualify first and so to do that on the biggest stage of them all was very special, even though in the race at Le Mans it goes towards very little.
Do you have any tattoo's, if so what and where (be honest!)?
I have no tattoos :)
