90 Seconds with Le Mans Racer, Rebecca Jackson

What would you be if not a racing driver?

A yoga instructor with my own retreat somewhere warm!

Do you have any pre-race superstitions?

Before each race, I like to take a few moments of silence and use visualisation techniques to calm my mind.

What is your favourite racing circuit?

This is always the toughest question. I can’t pick just one! Snetterton was my first race win, Oulton Park is mega to drive and Monza is great because I love the fast right hander after the first chicane.

Who do you admire the most?

It’s got to be John Surtees for his unbelievable ability to be a world champion on both two and four wheels. I’ve always admired his racing achievements.

Favourite food?

Steak and broccoli!

Which other series would you like to race in?

Ooh, this is a tough question as I love racing and there are so many to choose from! I’d say top of the list is the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo Europe series and ELMS in an LMP prototype. I’d also love to do something in a Porsche again at some point in my racing career.

What road car do you drive?

At the moment I have a MINI JCW Convertible which I’m reviewing for Telegraph Cars. I also own a Land Rover Defender and Toyota MR2 Turbo.

Most memorable racing moment?

Driving the LMP3 car down the Mulsanne straight at Le Mans this year. It was such an incredible feeling! My first podium and winning the BRSCC Production Boxster Championship were also amazing racing moments for me.

Do you have any tattoo's, if so what and where (be honest!)?

Definitely not! I’m not sure a tattoo would suit me.

Project Le Mans was a success! Watch Rebecca fulfil her dream of driving at what is arguably the most prestigious motorsport event in the world.
