Oliver is the sixth and final driver to be confirmed for CEFC TRSM’s two-car entry into the 2018/19 FIA WEC Super Season, which gets underway at Spa Francorchamps in Belgium next month. He will join Oliver Rowland and Alex Brundle in car six. Previously announced Charlie Robertson, Leo Roussel and Dean Stoneman will pilot car five.

The British driver has a wealth of experience in various series including both single seaters and sports cars. This year will be his fourth return to the 24 Hours of Le Mans where he has had various successes including an LMP2 class win.

Graeme Lowdon, President and Sporting Director; “It is great to have another big talent in our driver line up with the addition of Oliver. He has vast experience in sports cars including three 24 Hours of Le Mans which is, of course, beneficial for us.

“We are very happy and confident with our completed driver line up and we have been working hard since the Prologue to ensure that we are in the best possible shape for the first race at Spa in a few weeks’ time. Although it will be a big challenge for all of the new LMP1-NH teams, we are now just keen to go racing.”

Oliver Turvey, Driver; “I am delighted to be joining CEFC TRSM Racing for the 2018/19 Super Season in the FIA World Endurance Championship. After winning at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in LMP2, it has always been my aim to race in the top category and to challenge for the overall victory.

“I would like to thank my NIO Formula E team for allowing me to take up this opportunity and I am very grateful to Graeme Lowdon, John Booth and all at CEFC TRSM Racing for selecting me to race with their team in LMP1. I can’t wait to get in the car for the first round of the WEC at Spa!”

Round 1 of the 2018/19 FIA World Endurance Championship takes place at Spa Francorchamps in Belgium on 3 May.
