Moh makes his move into GT racing

Following a successful 2018 contesting the BARC Junior Saloon Car Championship, 2019 will see 16-year old Moh Ritson from Leeds take his first step into GT racing when he competes in the Dunlop Britcar Endurance Championship driving a Ginetta G50.

The car will be prepared and run by Tockwith Motorsports, the same team that looked after Moh's JSCC Citroen Saxo in 2018. With the races featuring a two-driver format, Moh will be partnered throughout the season by his driver coach and 2018 Dunlop Britcar Endurance Champion Sarah Moore.

"I am super-excited to be able to race with Sarah in 2019 and continue my close association with Tockwith Motorsports, who did such a fantastic job last year. The Ginetta is a very different car to drive and I see it as a massive step up from the Saxo, but I'm sure that with the support of the team, my family and Sarah, I'm in for an absolutely awesome season".

The move from a saloon to sports car racing marks a significant point in Moh's motorsport career, as he explains:

"Right from the outset, my ambition has been to race GT cars at the highest level possible. There are some great opportunities in this area of the sport and switching to the Ginetta is a significant move towards that goal. That's why I'm really looking forward to the season ahead and I'm determined to give it my best shot."

Sarah Moore is also excited about what's in store for 2019 and is looking forward to joining Moh for the season ahead:

"I can't wait to see what the next year holds and what the future has in store for Moh, as he is a very mature 16-year old who clearly knows where he wants to be. He did a fantastic job in 2018, developing as a driver and his determination shone through. It will be interesting to see how he gets on with a more powerful rear-wheel-drive car. I look forward to working with him next season and seeing his face after he's driven the car for the first time!"

Moh and Sarah will share the driving in each of the Dunlop Britcar Endurance Championship's eight rounds that feature two, 60-minute races and include a pit-stop to change drivers, tyres and refuel. The season concludes with an exciting two-hour 'into-the-night' race at Brands Hatch.
