Matt Palmer joins Assetto Motorsport for 2018 in the Ginetta GT5 Championship
Matt Palmer is excited to announce that he will be joining the Assetto Motorsport team for the Ginetta GT5 Challenge in 2018.
After winning consecutive titles in the Millers Oils Toyota MR2 Championship Matt made the step up to national racing in the Ginetta GT5 Challenge. Matt has been competing in his Ginetta GT5 as a privateer since 2015 where he finished as the top privateer in his opening season.
Matt is planning to compete in the Oulton Park, Silverstone, Spa Francorchamps and Donnington Park rounds of the championship with Assetto Motorsport.
The Ginetta GT5 Challenge offers a unique opportunity to race in a single-make racing championship whilst still being a part of the British GT and British Touring Car Championship bill. The seven-weekend series is a popular entry-level championship for many aspiring GT racers, as it combines accessible motorsport with packed grids, a Pro/Am format and close racing.
