Ahead of this weekend's Endurance Cup round at the Nürburgring, SRO has announced the provisional 2021 calendar for the GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS.

Two rounds still need to be confirmed, one Endurance event in the second or third week of May, and a Sprint event in September or November. The latter also depends on the definitive date of the Sprint Cup round in Barcelona. The 10 races are evenly split over the Endurance Cup and the Sprint Cup: 5 races each.

The Endurance Cup opener is traditionally held in Monza, and for 2021 the Autodromo is back at the start of the season. Two weeks later the Sprint Cup kicks of at Brands Hatch. Next are two rounds for the Endurance Cup in May, of which, as said, the first venue and date is still TBC. In the last weekend of May the 1000km of Paul Ricard is scheduled, back to its 'usual' date in late spring. This year, the race in the hills above the French Rivièra is scheduled for mid-November.

Paul Ricard is the last Endurance Cup race ahead of the Total 24 hours of Spa. After the race in Southern France, two Sprint Cup races near the beach are scheduled: mid-June in the Dutch dunes at Zandvoort and early July along the Adriatic coast at Misano. The season's blue ribbon event at Spa is scheduled for its traditional weekend at the end of July.

A month later, the final of the Endurance Cup is held at the Nürburgring. The two final rounds of the Sprint Cup, of which one will be held at Catalunya, are scheduled for late September, early October and early November.
