Porsche and Penske have presented their new endurance racer that will compete in both the WEC and IMSA next year: the 963. Coloured in Porsche's racing colours: white, red and black, the livery is a clear reference to the KG Salzburg team Le Mans winning 917K of Hans Hermann and Richard Atwood.

Confirmed drivers for the IMSA and WEC are a mix of works drivers and sportscar drivers: Kevin Estre, Michael Christensen, André Lotterer, Laurens Vanthoor, Matt Campbell, Mathieu Jaminet, Dane Cameron and Felipe Nasr. In what mix and which championship the different drivers will race will be announced at a later date.

We already knew that Porsche also made cars available for customers, but what we didn't know was that these programs will be announced in the coming days.

Furthermore, Porsche confirms a so called "non-competitive dress rehearsal" during the WEC 8 hrs of Bahrain coming November, ahead of its official competition debut at Daytona, January 2023.
