FIA WEC: 6hrs of Spa postponed

Due to the spread of the COVID-19 Corona-virus, the FIA has postponed the Total 6hrs of Spa until further notice. The race was originally planned for the 25th of April. In a statement on the FIA WEC website, the organizer states that "The promoter, Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps and the RACB are working together to find a new 2020 date and, as soon as this is finalised, it will be communicated."

If you already have tickets for the race, these will of course be valid on the new date. It is also possible to get a refund at Ticketmaster if you can't make it on the new date.

We can only speculate on the new date... The Le Mans test day is on the 31st of May. It might be possible that the 6hrs of Spa will be postponed to that very weekend. Most WEC-competitors should be free of other obligations that weekend. It seems logistically more challenging to race between the test day and the race itself. The only other option seems to be ahead of the 31st of May. But who knows if the current Corona-prohibitions in Belgium (all sporting events are forbidden at least until early April) won't be extended to the that month.
