Development continues: Genesis GMR-001 completes first tests at Paul Ricard

Following its shakedown earlier this month, the development of the Genesis GMR-001 continued successfully with its first multi-day track test at Paul Ricard. During the last days of August the car ran over 500 laps over the 5 testing days, with even more work being done than initially expected.

Set out to merely test different software configurations, Genesis, Oreca and IDEC Sport were already able to start work on the handling and setup of the car, adjusting and analyzing the general performance of the car.

Slight issues and problems did occur, but the team managed to solve these rather quickly. In the months to come, the car will undergo a rigorous testing program to prepare for the car's 2026 debut at the 1812km of Qatar in March.
