Today Clearwater Racing announced that they will be competing in the Blancpain Asia GT Series in a McLaren 570s GT4 at the next round in Fuji. This will be the first non Porsche runner in the GT4 field.

Piloting the car will be current FIA WEC GTE AM drivers championship leader Weng Sun Mok, and Le Mans Rookie Richard Wee. When announcing the news today, Arj Pillay Kulasegaram said " Its time to let the poorly concealed cat out of the fairly transparent bag....Clearwater Racing are back in action at next week's Blancpain Asia GT Series race at one of our all time favourite destinations....the Fuji International Speedway!!!" Arj continued " After what can only be described as a short first race in the Blancpain series, we are back to do Battle in Asia for only the 2nd time this year and this time in the ....... GT4 class"

Commenting on their return, fellow Asian GT Series driver Frank Yu said "So happy my buddies are back , we've battled hard against each other the past 10 years but managed to stay friends and respect one another on and off track"

The car which is on loan from Daniel Au and Sunseeker Singapore, is currently making its way to Japan from McLaren's factory in Woking, UK and once it arrive will no doubt be liveried up in the unmistakable colours of Clearwater's Dragon.
