Ash Sutton Dominates Delayed Qualifying At Thruxton

Napa Racing UK continue their perfect record of pole positions in the 2023 season with Ash Sutton dominating at the Hampshire circuit



Thruxton Qualifying:


The session started with the front wheels drive cars crossing over their tyres, whilst the rear wheel drive BMW's light up the timing screens


The Napa Ford's took an early lead, with Ash Sutton putting in the first competitive time with a 1:15.848


Defending champion Tom Ingram was just 0.615s behind Sutton with 18 minutes remaining

Ricky Collard puts his Toyota into 4th ahead of the BMW of Jake Hill


Andrew Watson goes second, just 0.100s behind current pole sitter Sutton with just 12 minutes to go.


Josh Cook in his One Motorsport with Starline Racing Honda went pole, As is tradition at the Hampshire circuit.

Watson's teammate, Aron Taylor-Smith puts the second Astra into a brilliant 5th with 11 minutes to go.


Ash Sutton dethrones the king of Thruxton, Josh Cook to reclaim his pole position with a 1:15.481


Sutton procceded to set two purple sectors, before the red flag is thrown to reset a tyre stack that was knocked out of place by a pushing Dan Cammish.


With three minutes to go, the green flag was flown and the pit lane turned into a crazy mix of colours as everyone rushed to get out on track.

As the session comes to an end, Taylor-Smith drops oil through the first sector, sending Adam Morgan and Dexter Patterson over the grass and ending their sessions early.
