Jake Dennis emerged victorious in São Paulo after a dramatic season opener that saw multiple lead changes and a late red flag.
Brazil welcomed Formula E back to the Anhembi Sambadrome for what would be the first of five different race winners across the opening five rounds of the 2025-26 season. Dennis, carrying a three-place grid penalty from qualifying, had earlier secured pole position before the stewards' intervention demoted him to fourth on the grid.

Dennis worked his way through the field methodically, using attack mode activations at precisely the right moments to climb back through the order. Citroën's Nick Cassidy emerged as a serious threat to Dennis's victory bid, mounting a bold late-race charge.
On lap 27, Dennis executed the move that would decide the race, slipping past Cassidy to assume control and take the win. The race's final moments proved dramatic when Cupra Kiro's Pepe Martí suffered a massive shunt, triggering a late red flag that ultimately allowed Dennis to secure the victory under a safety car finish.
