Clearwater Racing to run a McLaren in the Blancpain Asia GT Series
Today Clearwater Racing announced that they will be competing in the Blancpain Asia GT Series in a McLaren 570s GT4 at the next round in Fuji. This will be the first non Porsche runner in the GT4 field. Piloting the car will be current FIA WEC GTE AM drivers championship leader Weng Sun Mok, and Le Mans Rookie Richard Wee. British GT fans should be expecting a close one at Brands Hatch this weekend.
This weekend sees the penultimate round of the 2017 British GT Championship and there is the potential of both classes being decided on the 2.4 mile Brands Hatch GP circuit. In the GT3 teams championship, Barwell Motorsport lead Team Parker Racing going into Round 8, but it is more likely this battle will continue on to the season finale at Donnington park in September. Podium finish for Matt Palmer in Zandvoort
It was the "fly away" race of the Ginetta GT5 Challenge season at the weekend. Hosted by the legendary Zandvoort Circuit as part of their British Race Festival Weekend. Qualifying took place on a damp track but a dry line in places. Matt gambled on it drying out and went out on slicks for the entire session. Highs and Lows for Matt at Oulton Park
Pretty gloomy weather greeted the drivers in the opening round of the Protyre GT5 Ginetta Challenge on Bank Holiday Monday at Oulton Park. Matt Palmer did not fair too well in qualifying for race 1 in the wet saying that "Car set up was way off in quali and race 1, we need to work on a wet set up!" Former Chip Ganassi Racing driver Pablo Pérez Company has been spotted testing the $1.5 million Pagani Zonda at the Sebring Raceway in Florida.
