What would you be if not a racing driver?

If I wasn't a racing driver I would be a fighter-jet pilot, my father and grandfather were in the RAF and this was my plan at the age of 15 after several years of karting, until I won a racing scholarship which helped make racing more of a reality than a dream.

Do you have any pre-race superstitions?

I carry my grandfather's RAF dog tags from WW2 everywhere I go, he died in 2000 just as my racing career was getting going, so I like to have him present, other than that nothing in particular..

What is your favourite racing circuit?

IMy favourite circuit is Suzuki, though Sugo, Oulton Park and Donington Park are also special.

Who do you admire the most?

I admire Tom Kristensen a lot, fast, intelligent and yet full of humility, Mika Hakkinen the same. My early heroes were Nigel Mansell and Juan Pablo Montoya, along with Senna they were ruthless, aggressive and never gave up.

Favourite food?

Fish and Chips!!

Which other series would you like to race in?

I'd love to race in Japanese Super Formula, intense racing at difficult circuits in some of the fastest cars in the world.

What road car do you drive?

I drive a Jaguar XK 4.2 on the road.

Most memorable racing moment?

Most memorable moment in racing is winning Le Mans in LMP2 in 2015, nothing else comes close! Before that I always loved when Lewis Hamilton arrived in Formula Renault together with me in 2001 as my teammate, and despite being already such an amazing driver, I out-qualified 3-1 in our four races together!

Do you have any tattoo's, if so what and where (be honest!)?

None
