90 Seconds with Toyota WEC driver, Anthony Davidson

What would you be if not a racing driver?

It's hard to know as I've been a racing driver since I was eight, but I guess I would have followed in my fathers footsteps and done graphic design or similar.

Do you have any pre-race superstitions?

Not anymore, I used to get in the car from the same side but the longer you race the more you realise it's nonsense and better not to bother with.  I am meticulous in the preparation of my kit but that's not superstition, just attention to detail.

What is your favourite racing circuit?

I don't have one but for pure enjoyment I like Spa, Silverstone and Suzuka.  What happens at a track makes it a favourite, or not!

Who do you admire the most?

The team who prepare the cars and do so much work in the off season which nobody see's.

Favourite food?

British.

Which other series would you like to race in?

Apart form the series I have already raced in, Formula E is different so that could be interesting.

What road car do you drive?

Lexus NX.

Most memorable racing moment?

Becoming the World Endurance Championship Drivers World Champion.

Do you have any tattoo's, if so what and where (be honest!)?

None.

In 2017 Anthony will again be competing in the FIA World Endurance Championship with the Toyota Racing team, driving the new TS050.

In addition to his on-track activities, he is also a development driver for the

When he isn’t driving himself, he is talking about it – as part of the SKY F1 commentary team. Anthony attends Formula 1 Grands Prix which don’t clash with his own racing and testing commitments, providing commentary for the practice sessions, and analysis on the SKY pad for qualifying and race days.
