The Father of Dragons is victorious in Fuji

Lights to flag victory for Clearwater Racing in the second race of the Blancpain GT Asia series at Fuji Speedway

Race 2 of the Blancpain Asia GT Series saw Clearwater racing take their second victory of the weekend in their Sunseeker Singapore McLaren 570S GT4.

Weng Sun Mok started the unusually hot and sunny race and drove at a stonking pace until the halfway mark before handing the Clearwater Racing machine over to Richard Wee who then went on to set the fastest GT4 lap of the race.

Speaking after the race, Team Managing director Arj Pillay Kulasegaram said "We couldn't be more happy on our return to the Blancpain series and we're very grateful to Sunseeker Singapore for having made this possible" he continued " All weekend Long the team and car have run just perfectly and we couldn't be more happy than this.

Well it's back to the WEC after this and it's Mexico City, get ready for us....enter the dragon!"

Next up for Clearwater is the FIA World Endurance Championship, 6 Hours of Mexico where the team is leading the FIA Endurance Trophy for GTE AM Teams. Full coverage of the event can be found on our Twitter feed - @FromTheTribune and for specific Clearwater news check out @Clearwater_Race
