Chevrolet will delegate drivers Oliver Gavin and Antonio Garcia to drive the #63 C8.R in the WEC rounds at Portimão and Spa. It will only be the second time the car competes in the World Endurance Championship, after their participation in the Lone Star Le Mans at the Circuit of the Americas in 2020. After Aston Martin's withdrawal, the number of manufacturers competing for top honours in GT Pro remains three with Ferrari and Porsche both fielding two cars.

At the same time, the brand new Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus (SCG) hypercar, which only recently made its track debut at Vallelunga, is absent from the entry list in Portugal. Therefore Toyota will be the only manufacturer fielding a hypercar at the season opener, contested in class only by the Alpine A480 LMP1.

The entry list shows a total of 32 cars, 3 in Hypercar, 11 in LMP2 (5 Pro/Am entries), 5 in GT Pro and another 13 in GT Am. No less than 6 women will be at the grid, Beitske Visser, Sophia Floersch and Tatiana Calderon will drive the #1 Richard Mille Oreca in LMP2, Rahel Frey, Manuela Gostner and Michelle Gatting will share the #85 Iron Lynx Ferrari in GT Am.
