DTM: Returns to Brands Hatch

Over the weekend of the 11th and 12th August, the Kent countryside will be alive with the sound of racing cars as, after a five year break, the DTM race series returns to Brands Hatch.

Making it one of two new venues on the 2018 calendar, the other being Misano in Italy, fans will be thrilled to learn that these mighty giants will be taking to the full GP circuit. This was a pre-requisite of returning to the UK, with Gerhard Berger (DTMs ‘top dog’) insisting on using the full circuit should they return to the UK.

Fans can be assured of ‘close racing’ promises current Championship leader, Gary Paffett in the London press event: ‘It’s a tight track and there is always overtaking opportunities as the tyres start to go off’… he continued ‘We are going to have to have our elbows out - you can be sure of some door-to-door action!

These will be the fastest cars on track in 2018, and will be supported by the Mini Challenge and the Audi R8 LMS Cup. There’s plenty for all the family to do away from the trackside including fairground rides and go-karts.

So if you want to see some 4-litre V8 monsters taking to the iconic Brands Hatch circuit, it’s not too late to get tickets from the MSV website. And don’t forget, as already announced, this will be the last time we see the Mercedes cars… well, for the next few years anyway!
